Volunteers
The Greentown Historical Society depends totally on volunteers to carry out its mission. There are many ways we use volunteers.
* Fund Raising
Plan, organize, and promote various money making activities
* Docents at History Center
Serve as a host or hostess to guide guests through exhibits Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00
* Youth Activities
Plan events, supervise students
* Publications
Newsletter - writing, layout, mailing
Booklets on local history topics
Brochures, letters, posters
* Publicity
Contact newspapers and radio stations, design and distribute events posters
* Transcribers
Type stories of local citizens
* Exhibits
Plan and design exhibit themes, research topics, build and arrange displays
* Research
Collect local history, answer patrons' inquiries, maintain files on local families
* Maintenance
Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance, including cleaning
* Technology
Computers, printers, scanners, photography
* Board of Trustees
Sixteen board members serve as officers and committee chairpersons
